New Formula Proraso Green AS Lotion Question

Hello gents! I just received the new formula proraso green aftershave lotion. I love the scent but was expecting more of a lotion not a splash. With that said, having really dry skin will this aftershave help with the dryness or will the alcohol make it worse? And also if you own this product how do you use it..and how much do you use. Thanks in advance!

I used it all summer and it didn't dry my skin out at all.The new formula contains glycerin.Something the old formula did not have.

I haven't use Proraso but the alcohol based splashes i use dont dry me out much. just make sure your face is wet when you apply and i generally make a small puddle in my palm.

Remember, in the world of wetshaving, "lotion" = "splash".... and typically a splash will contain alcohol as an ingredient. The consistency that you think of with a hand or face lotion is more like what you find with a "balm" or "cream" or "milk" in the world of wetshaving. Alcohol will dry out the skin if continually applied in a frequent nature.... but a little puddle in the palm of your hand after a shave should not have much effect overall. Glycerin will help soothe and heal the skin. If you want additional moisturization, Proraso Green Tea & Oat (White) or Proraso Blue aftershave balms are nice. The Proraso Blue balm being a little heavier than the Green Tea & Oat (White). The scent of the blue and white balms are a little different than the green aftershave lotion.... but all very pleasent and light IMO.
