I just received an order of the new Feather single edge blades that fit the old Valet Autostrop Razors from Razor Blades and More. I have several of these and only one loads from the side so you can use a modified standard Gem or other SE blade. It tried the new blade today in a beautiful pristine Valet open comb razor today. A warm shower, simple lather with VDH and a Simpson Harvard 1-face lathered. It gave a very near BBS with 2 passes (WTG/ATG) with no irritation or wounds. I used an alum block after the warm rinse and let it dry before the cold rinse. No burning at all. I tested further with some Old Spice AS and no burn! In sum, another great blade from Feather that allows you to play with all those old Autostrop razors out there! I am going to be ordering more!! I should add that the service and communication from Razor Blades and More was perfect.
That's great news! I just picked up a 1912 Valet Auto Strop Razor today. It's in OK shape and holds the (only) Valet SE blade I have very well, despite the damaged blade seat.
