New Boar VS MWF!

Just got my first boar in the mail today. I have been waiting to face it off against MWF since I love this soap but many times have difficulty getting a good lather out of it. Well, I soaked the Semogue and MWF while in the shower, then gently shook the excess water out, then face lathered. Wow! All I have to say is wow! The boar definitely won the battle, and my MWF is performing like a champ again, I think I'm in love. :001_wub: You will see my badgers on BST shortly!

I favour boars to badgers, too. Especially with Mitchell's Wool Fat.

Good to know I'm not alone on this one.

Here is a pic of my new brushes drying with some MWF on the bristles to help break them in:

I agree, Boars are the way to go with MWF. I have gotten some incredible lathers using my Italian Barber Limited Edition Semogue Boar Brush using soaps. I also must say that I get great lathers with my Badger using creams.

That seems to be my
pattern...Boar w/soaps ,and Badger w/creams.

I think the other key is to soak the puck as well. I keep my puck in a large mug and soak it and the brush in it. It's very convenient and really makes MWF a lot easier to lather.
