Oh, that's the Q10 stuff. I got a small sample of this and thought it was really nice. I don't think this is new, it's just that it wasn't marketed as an aftershave before. It was sold as a moisturizer. I really liked the scent of the sample. It's more expensive than their other aftershave balms, at least in the US. It was about $8, as opposed to $5 or $6 for their others asb's.

No no, it's really a different product

Different product, different formulation (except for the Q10)

Nice! As discussed in another Nivea thread, I really like their products and this one sounds like a winner. I wonder if it will make it to grocers' shelves like most of their others?

I am almost positive that they have that on shelves over here in China. They have lots of Nivea products that I have never seen in the U.S.

If the price is not too steep I will check it out next time I am at the store.

It's been available for a while over here in the UK. It's ok, but I don't rate it as highly as the other Nivea balms. It feels stickier and I really have to work it into my skin to get it to absorb.

That's good, because I have very dry skin.

The thicker the better for me

I cannot wait for my face to be energized! Haven't seen this one at work yet, but I am sure I will find it somewhere. I personally have enjoyed this one:

Extreme Comfort Nivea is excellent, although for some reason it's around 50% more expensive than the other balms. There isn't a Nivea balm that I don't like though, I tend to stock up on all of them when Boots have their semi-regular 3 for 2 offer on Nivea products.

Not true at least in euro terms. Its price is almost the same as to Nivea ASB sensitive skin for instance

UPDATE:

Meijer super stores have it.

I've used it 4-5 times thus far. My impression is kind of "meh".

scent: Very plain, but not bad. It smells similar to the extra sensitive balm (white cap)

Efficacy: Feels like the extra sensitive balm. It doesn't have any extra slippery properties like the ultimate comfort.

value: That crappy plastic bottle + higher price + less balm = BIG thumbsdown.

Overall: It actually might be making my skin react with bumps and general breaking out.

So, if you want less of a more expensive extra sensitive balm that causes breakouts with no scent in a plastic bottle, be my guest. I'm a big Nivea fan, but this REALLY missed the mark IMO.

Thanks a lot for the review :wink2:

I was hoping for a manly or marine scent
I thought it would be more moisturizing than the Extra Sensitive (based on the ingredients)

The fact that it's more expensive per ounce is a bit disappointing.

It hasn't hit Canada yet, so I'll see for myself

Before I got into this whole DE thing, Nivea was the stuff I used, from face wash and scrub to balm and moisturisers.

As fast as I finished one balm, a different one came along, and now they're saturating the market. There are 4 at my local supermarket. I find they're all pretty much the same, except the tubey squeezy ones are now really moisturisers, not balms.

I reckon their marketing tells them a lot of men still aren't up to buying moisturiser, so they're just repackaging it as balm.

I currently use the Q10 "anti-fatigue" moisturizer face balm and I like it better than the Biotherm one that I have. It's more consistent and my skin stay smooth longer before turning shiny.

I would definetely try the Q10 balm if I was to find it.
