The Jones Shake-Sharp v1 razor matches up nicely with the Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinum blade. One of the better blade matches I've tried in this razor. The combination is excellent! A very cool razor!

This Vintage razor is quite interesting. Description from an old listing on an auction site: "Pleese Amcor 1950's vintage double edge three piece safety razor, manufactured by Pleese Amcor in Israel." The Pleese Amcor is also mentioned as being an aggressive razor in some older posts right here on B&B.

The Pleese Amcor looks very much like a Tech. The handle is too skinny for me to get a decent grip. Normally, I would reach for one of my treasured Rosseforp GTx handles, but the threads don't match up. The Shield Polished Ti handle matched up nicely, so I used it. Very comfortable balance and control.

Does the Pleese Amcor shave like a Tech? Pretty much. Paired with a Personna Israeli Platinum Red blade, it's close. Certainly not a rough shaving razor. It's a very good razor, but does it displace any of my Top 5 Techs? Not in my opinion. I'd say it fits nicely in my occasional use group and will use it with pleasure when the mood strikes.

Brush: AP Shave Co Jade (AP Shave Co 26mm Synbad Fan)

This is an early, all Brass, Star DE used with Doug’s outstanding 25g GTS handle. The combination provides excellent comfort and control. The Star DE is very "Tech like" in its presentation. A bit more efficient. Comparably smooth. Very nimble & maneuverable and predictable. A very effective vintage razor! Results are superb!
