Need to Vent.

So, I started bringing my shaving stuff to the gym with me to use after 10-15 minutes in the steam room. This proved to be a great way to soften my facial hair and made for an excellent shave. On this particular visit to the gym, I decided to bring my Wade & Butcher straight, an ivory handled boar brush (both bought on badgerandblade,) a bottle of witch hazel aftershave and finally, a puck of proraso soap. Now, all this stuff wasn't terribly expensive (except the straight, bought it for $75 from a member) so I figured it would be okay to leave it in my gym bag sitting on the counter while I go to the bathroom. When I came back (less than a minute later!) The bag was gone. All my brand new shaving stuff, all gone. I've only been straight shaving for 3-4 weeks and now I have to start over again. Someone from the gym scored as that razor was sweet.

I'm thinking of just going with a new kit from whippeddog... Im pretty mad at how stupid it was for me to leave the bag there. Someone probably mistakenly thought it was theirs... Worst part is, as I was going to the bathroom I was thinking to myself I should probably lock up the bag. Live and learn I guess.

I'm going to look at as an opportunity to start de shaving. Seems like they're cheaper. Also, I guess I can try Arko shave sticks now since I can't spend the cash on everything again.

My condolences on your loss. The days of keeping the front door unlocked were gone a long time ready. I hate always thinking of the worse case scenarios.

Aww man, that's awful! Always a good opportunity to try some new swag but definitely disappointing to lose a sweet razor! Here's to hoping it shows up at the front desk!

Did you report the theft? Most gyms require membership and many have cameras. It wouldn't be hard to check if somebody walked out with your bag and identify them.

That sucks. I agree with the suggestion to report it, there's a chance there may be camera footage of someone walking out with it. You might keep an eye on ebay and your local craigslist for items that look suspiciously familiar to you.

Sorry to hear it, you have a surprisingly good outlook on the situation, which is excellent, keep it up! A friend of mine once told me that no one likes a thief, and that is so true.
