Need help indentifying Gillette razor

I came across this Gillette razor, but I am not sure of the history of the razor. It has a purple handle and is marked with A3. Can anybody help me indentify this razor for me?

1980, black handle super speed, I believe. Nice one too.

Looks like a rare 1980 purple handle to me (just kidding) It looks as if someone took to painting it or it has seriously faded Paul.
