Need help identifying this beauty

Dear all,

I've been lurking around here for quite a while now and would like to thank you all for this community. So far it's been absolutely amazing!

Now - the reason why i signed up. I need your help identifying the Gillette below. Despite the fact that I just signed up I've seen tons of different DE razors, but so far I've been unable to identify the razor below. First I thought it was the Gillette Empire, but I think I might be wrong.

Any of you, who can tell me what I'm dealing with here?

Thank You very much!

Wow, thanks both of you. That was tremendously helpful.

Any chance any of you would know what a fair price would be for the set? Just roughly.

No, it's not a Floral handle. It's a Scroll handle, like AMB said.

You are right as always, i just noticed that its the scroll in silver

They are from L to R
1.The Empire gold
2.The Empire silver
3.The Flower in silver
4.The Scroll in gold
5.The Shell with two rings in gold
6.The Shell with one ring (w/ a uniform diameter for the entire length of the handle) in silver
7.The Shell with two rings in silver
8.The Flower in gold.

Nice razor, congrats!!!
There should be a serial number stamped on the comb, this will pinpoint the year it was made.
I thought the 4 rivet cases were made later than 1910 (1914'ish) but Im not going to argue with Mr Razor :001_smile

Good eye, I know the Latch cases were first metal cases around, and rivet ones came later on.

Achim, so does it mean that we can not go by the rivets to date these sets?

it means, that the 1909 catalog shows the old case design and the 1911 Ad shows the new case design. Between these years they have change the design:

@ Ironfist: I sure will. It should be on its way in the mail by Monday :) Can't wait to try it out! Think I made a pretty good deal on it.
