Need help for SWMBO

SO I finally got my wife to try using my brush and cream to shave her legs and she LOVED it. Side not so did I...sooo smooth....Anyway now she wants to get her own but she is not sure about what creams/balms/etc to get or use. I was hoping you guys could help me find her a good smell or maybe point me in the direction or getting her some samples to try. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I think it's largely driven by the scent you both like. There are so many great choices, that you can afford to be picky. I'd open the suggestions at anything floral. Just not Arko. :biggrin1:

I use an Omega Pro 49 and an SOC (slightly prefer the Omega, but the SOC is only 3/4 broken in). My soap/cream list is...the product of an AD, but:

1. KMF. Great performer with or without a brush (for the rushed mornings/touchups)
2. Mama Bear's. There's something about the simple glycerine soap... I love the cocoa one especially.
3. TFS Neroli Dure. Tried the softer razorock version and I tend to prefer harder soaps. Great unisex scent. Can't wait for the cinnamon one to come out in a hard soap.
4. TOBS creams. Actually got these "for my fiance" (wink, nudge, sure), but I love the performance of the creams.

Ladies' Klar is next on my list to try. With that said, there's no reason to only use "ladies'" scents, but I do shy away from anything cologne-y. Just a preference. Most stuff out there is pretty unisex (imo).

I honestly would like to recommend Mama Bear's Sandalwood Rose soap if she loves the smell of Roses. The scent is spot on, plus I believe it is a glycerin soap so its very slick. That added slickness seems ideal for legs. Sue offers samples if youd like to grab one.

Mine likes Burts Bees shave cream (no brush). KMF is GREAT with a brush! I've given her several razors, the one she prefers is the Wilkinson Classic.

SWMBO prefers AdP in winter and Proraso Green tube (old formula) in summer. Slim set on 5-7 with a milder blade or even my EJ un-shimmed. Only catch is I'm the one doing the shaving...

Tip: ask her to smell the soaps/creams blind - very often SWMBO made her mind up about a product based on the very blokey packaging but ended up loving the scent. No coincidence she KNEW she'd love AdP based on the gorgeous jar and lid.

I like KMF with a brush, and a few drops of other body wash to create super lather. Then I like vintage blue handle Lady Gillette with feather blades. Some sort of non irritating moisturizer afterward such as Cetaphil lotion.

I think this is a teachable moment. Have her sample all of your software and lay claim to what she likes, or keep buying more software. Then she'll maybe understand why you need so many soaps and creams to choose from each day.

KMF comes in several scents, and she can try them all for not too much coin, and the ones she doesn't like you can use yourself. The GF swears by this method:

Have a good soak in the tub. While still in the tub, raise one leg out of the water and get to work. Rub a dollop of KMF between the hands, then onto that one leg. Swirl a 30mm FS badger brush on the palms to pick up the residue, making sure the brush is plenty wet. Work the film of KMF on the leg into a good lather with the brush. A big brush is better than a smaller one for legs, because so much territory must be covered. Shave with a Walmart Wilkinson blade in a Blue Star Lady Gillette. Repeat with the other leg. Use your regular mosturizer for an after shave balm. One pass, and remember which areas you have trouble with ATG, and don't do ATG there. Elsewhere, don't worry about which TG direction you use... just take it how you can, the easiest way you can reach. But better yet have the husband or BF do the shaving if he can be bothered. Don't be scared of the straight razor, either.

If you stick with something with a fresh fragrance you can always use it if she does not like it. Many women like Sandalwood and Bay Rum as well. What type of fragrance does she wear? Most women are love or hate when it comes to rose. But as nexlevMM stated above Sandalwood/Rose, that may be a winner.
