Need advice - AS balm- Musgo, IK or PdP

I am looking for a non alcohol winter(live near Pittsburgh) AS balm that sooths/heals and is moisturizing while also being a not so strong fairly neutral scent that fades. I looked through some threads and reviews and believe I have narrowed it down to Musgo Real balsam, Institut Karite or Pre de Provence. Shea butter seems to help my dry skin. If you have any other suggestions please post. I am trying to keep this ~ $20.

I have tried more of the over the counter stuff. The L’oreal no alcohol is pretty good - scent is a bit strong at first. Nivea Sensitive is good for the summer but not moisturizing enough for winter.

I am leaning towards Musgo – and have read more towards it being a lighter scent but others have said it is a bit strong. Also – is the beeswax good or noticeable in a bad way?

Thanks in advance!

I have only tried the PdP and the IK, both are very good products.
The scent of both are not too strong, the PdP is pine/juniper like, and the Ik has a clean soapy scent, maybe a very light hint of a powdery scent.

Appreciate the responses. I'll have to check these out /put these on my list. The IK may be they way to go as it has shea - not sure if the Clinique does but it does sound effective.

Has anyone had some experience with the Musgo(in comparison to the other 2 optimally) - good or bad?

I like in France, but still rate Musgo Real as the best balm I have used, the scent of the balm is nice, but very faint.
Be sure to apply onto a wet face.

Ps. I find Musgo's AS even better than the balm, stronger, longer lasting scent with very good healing and moisturising properties.

I just got a bottle of the IK ASB, and have been using it the last few days. It's pretty chilly here in the Northeast, and I have been really impressed with how it performs. The scent is light and disappears quickly, and it absorbs really well without feeling greasy. I have to use it awhile longer before I draw a final conclusion, but it currently outperforms just about every ASB I have used (and I only use ASBs).

PdP is the most soothing product I have ever tried. It is also a fantastic moisturizer, and the mild, fresh and clean scent is very nice.

It also comes in a nice little metal tube that is easier to use than the bottles that Musgo Real and IK come in.

I ended up going with the MR Balsam on Friday - appreciate the feedback on all the products. I'll put the other few on my list to get in the future due to the positive feedback.

In case anyone else is interested - the Musgo Real Balsam was $18(10.99+7 sh) shipped to the door which is pretty cheap compare to other sources that I found. I called the vendor and it is 3.3oz. I'll post an opinion after I use it for awhile.

Thanks again!

Have you looked into or tried any of the Nivea products? I'm a bit of a thumper for them, but I love 'em. Pretty cheap, easy to find, and you don't need much.

You'll like that Musgo Real, though. Good stuff.
