Need a recommendation

first off hello to everyone, found this site while waiting for my first DE razor. anyway id like a recommendation on a new scent. things i use/like are perry ellis 360 (original), nautica blue, jean paul gaultier le male, lucky #6.

after looking at all the reviews these seem pretty generic brands, but as a reference id like some suggestions of what i might like. any suggestions?

If you want a "warmer" version of le male, try out givenchy Pi. They have vanilla in common, but I think there is more to it than that - hard to say though as the profile of Pi on basenotes doesn't seem to be complete.

I suggest you sample, but do not blind buy, Dirty English by Juicy Couture. I am pretty sure Sephora has a tester available and you can even get a take home spray sample. You may just like the way it fits in but differs from what you already have.

That's a pretty broad question.

Go into the reviews section here and poke around in Colognes.
That can give some you more specific directions to look in.
Knowing little about your age and what you want to use the frag for (work, casual, evening out) is also a hindrance. Do you want modern or traditional?

We're all pretty big on the Penhaligons' line in here. It's a great place to look first.

I thought of Lalique "Encre Noir". Its a fine vetiver that doesn't cost a fortune. Another great choice would be Tabac.

For something different, try Ogallala Bay Rum or Bay Rum with Limes & Peppercorns.

thanks for the suggestions. sorry i know its a broad question, im just looking for things similar to the ones i mentioned. im not too brave to go way way outside of my box of scents, but i think some samples is a good idea. thanks again

If your not really looking to step outside your comfort zone, well then basically your stuck with the majority of mediocre drugstore scents. I highly recommend taking the plunge! It's well worth it!
