What's new

Need a brush for my Dad with adequate handle.

My dad is in need of a new brush. He's using an old, inexpensive brush and he's been complaining that it's just too small. My guess is that he means he'd like a brush with a more substantial handle and with longer bristles. I know he won't want the most expensive one on the market, but I think I've made a case for a brush in the $40 - $50 range. Any help would be appreciated. Oh, and is it necessary to get a Best Badge or Silver Tip, or is a Pure Badger still OK?

Rudy Vey can help you. See vendors section. Excellent products and unbelievable service.

I bought a $30 brush with a silvertip TGN knot from Larry at WhippedDog.com and it is a great performer, wonderful value for the price. Ditto- excellent customer service.

You cannot go wrong dealing with either of these super guys.

Cheers!

For my first, and so far only, brush I went to the Hobbyist/Vendor section and found Bobfarvour who made an awesome brush for me. He was very helpful with options for handle design and material as well as which knot would suit me and where to set it. I love the brush and it was very reasonably priced.

Never, ever thought I could have one MADE! This is amazing. I think this may result in a purchase for me as we'll. sincere thanks for this info.

My 2 cents worth... I picked up a Semogue Owners Club brush with cherry handle and boar bristles. Haven't looked at another brush since! Face lather or bowl, this brush looks amazing and works even better. Endless array of brush choices out there but I am picking another one up just so I can alternate but still have the same brush every day.
