NBA Preseason Begins

So today is the beginning of the NBA preseason with a small run of international exhibition games along with a number of games in the old familiar haunts. The Lakers will crush the Timberwolves in London later today, and there are upcoming games all over the country.

Is anyone else excited about this upcoming NBA season? I'm very interested to see what happens in the East with the monster in Miami vs. the aging Celtics (now with 100% more Shaq!) vs. the constant contenders in Orlando, and of course with the competition in the West faltering, will the OKC Thunder be the only serious challenger to the Lakers title? This ought to be an exciting few months for basketball fans.

Nope. I don't know what happened really. I've played more basketball growing up then any other sport but I admittedly lost interest during the end of MJs career. It seems we went from the great Magic, Bird, Dr J, Isiah/Bad Boy (woot Pistons) era to the MJ era and then .... nothing for me. I just can't get back into hoop like I once did. It seems everyone is full of tattoos, taking 5 steps every time they touch the ball, and dunking all the time. You can't hand check anyone without a whistle being blown. Make the court bigger, raise the hoop to 11 ft, and I might be interested again.
