Hello gent, been wondering what are your favorite sticks? What's your favorite all around, bang for your buck, and budget stick?

My favorite all around is the Monicristo no. 2
My favorite bang for your buck is between the A Fuente Hemingway and the Romeo y Julliette 1875
My favorite budget stick in the Factory reject lot 52 at under $1 each

Favourite "all rounder" or "all time"? If the former, I'd vote for the Montecristo No 3. If the latter then I have no idea - maybe a Punch Punch, but it's years since I smoked one.

Bang for your buck has to be a Monte No 4 - at $5.50 a piece to my door that's hard to beat.

Best budget, that's trickier. I've become a fan of the Flor de Oliva series (not sophistocated or clever but great personality), but it's hard to beat something like a Fuente Brevas Royal (for $2.50 it is quite sophisticated if not particularly clever). Jose Piedras are the real Cuban deal for not much more than the Fuente, when you can get them and I see the price has gone up sharply!

As a Canadian who has the full range of Cubans available, I'm always confused by American references to the Cuban brand names which are made elsewhere. On my travels through the States, I've tried many of the big names - Partagas, Cohibas, Romeos, Montecristos.... etc etc.... and although they are good cigars, they're just not the same.

Anyway, for the sake of the original question.... just one? Can't do it.

My top three favourite money sticks are, in no particular order:
-Trinidad Fundadore
-Montecristo No.1
-Punch Punch
-Bolivar Gold Medals

That's 4, but who's counting???

My favourite daily budget smokes are either the Jose Piedra Cazadores, or one of the house brands that my local Native Reservation Smoke Shack imports, made of Nicaraguan tobacco.

+1 on the MC & R+J, I have a few Hemingway masterpeices in my humi, but have not smoked one . While I have a repectable collection of cigars, I rarely smoke them. Pipe man.

Most of our big Cuban name cigars are grown in either the Dominican republic, Honduras, or Nicaragua. But unfortunaly your right, While I love the MC no 2 Americans can get it doesnt hold a candle to the Cuban version with around 2 years in a humidor on it.

All around would probably be a Padron 1926.

Top sticks for the money:

Liga Privada Undercrown
Joya De Nicaragua Antano 1970
Gran Habano 2002
Perdomo Grand Habano Maduro

Budget sticks:

Perdomo Fresco

As an Australian, I was referring to the Cuban brands rather than the Central American knock-offs :001_tongu

I've only had a couple of the non-cuban versions (Montecristo and Cohiba) and they were both pretty poor to be honest. I understand they've improved since, but why bother when I can have the real thing or more honest competition
