What's new

My whisky bottles had children

I will be flying to see a family member later this week and thought it would be nice to bring along a small sampling of a few whiskys and do a mini tasting.
No way could I bring the bottles, too much bulk and weight for the plane. This was my solution. Each Bottle holds about 4oz (120ml).

I scanned the boxes the bottles came in, cropped, and re-sized the picture to fit the spice jar.

Neat idea! Are those spice jars? If so I hope they seal well and don't have any flavors left in them that will adulterate your whisky.

Brand new spice jars....cleaned and rinsed multiple times. I tested the seal by filling the jar with water, shaking it leaving it on its side, leaving it cap down and jar at a 45 degree angle. Not one drop of water came out. I'm thinking about using a little bit of tape as an added safety measure.

Congratulations. Don't take this wrong way but did they have girls or boys?

The ArdBeg with out had a boy. No way that peaty brine had a girl.
The Macallan and the nice sweetness is a little girl.

Haven't checked the others yet.

The beauty of glass is that it doesn't pick up any flavors or smells at all. Glass can be easily cleaned of those, and that's why it is still used for chemistry, not to mention medical science and lab work as well.

I would tape them and pack them in ziplock bags.
