My venture into the land of MdC

So I have been went shaving for a while now and definitely hit a good stride with SAD but it levelled off and I had a good assortment of razors, soaps, and creams. Not to mention even a a gorgeous Robert Becker scuttle. All I really am playing with now is settling on the perfect DE blade or blades to user permanently.


For soap and cream I had settled on MWF, TOBS SW, and TBS Maca root. All very wonderous products IMHO. Lucky for me reading this forum has not been helping my SAD and after reading everything I placed an order for 2 200g MdC jars one regular scented and one fougere since shipping was basically the same for two!

The order shipped one week today. Seven days from France to the west coast of Canada for the price they charged is fine for me.

Will report back after first shave tonight and will add as I use it more as well.

So excited ohh and three sample bars of soap too!!

Used it today...absolutely insane. 20 light swirls and bam!! Tons of slick protective lather. Used my OC Damaskeene, not a weeper to be had. I doubt I'll make a dent in this for months...you need so little...

Wow so just finished my first shave and headed off to work a night shift. While obviously my first lather leaves room for improvement all I did was swirl it on top of the left over soap on top of the stopper that covers a new jar under the tin lid.

Again holy moly it lathered up with no more than 7 swirls did a 2 pass in a hurry but with enough leftover for at least a 3rd perhaps 4th pass.

Easily have enough soap on the stopper alone for 2 more shaves conservatively. Really like it.

Used my weber bulldog with personna med prep and finished off with witch hazel rub and stirling after shave.

Really liked the stirling aftershave no alcohol chill but it was so soothing.

Will post more as I use it!

+1...I load it for even longer. Why bother or be worried about wasting product? I'd rather know I have enough than be worried about hitting that sweet spot of just enough product for the particular brush I'm using at the moment...

So I shaved last night and used MdC again. Took the advice and loaded for about 15 seconds. Yet again a ton of wonderous thick lather.

Just keeps getting better!

It will be interesting to hear your thoughts and comparisons after two years worth of data...although a year of MdC might cost ya

Wow third shave three pass shave. This stuff protects my skin like no other. I don't think I've had a weeper since I switched.

I still love the way MWF leaves my skin post shave.

However I can say with clear certainty this will be my normal goto soap and it is definitely worth the price!
