My VDH smell woes solved

Not really a fan of the smell of VDH, it's not a heavy scent, it's not an offensive scent, it just doesn't agree with me for some reason. Since it's so readily available, I bought two pucks just to try, and I try to finish what I start in the interest of saving money. So today I heated the soap, via Sue's double burner method. I also added 1oz of stress soother by W.S Badger, it's just some sort of a holistic balm I picked up that they suggest you rub on your temples and forehead, I love the scent, and the exhilarating properties it has. The ingredients are extra virgin olive oil, petroleum jelly, and essential oils of tangerine, lavender, rosemary, cedarwood, spearmint, rose otto, chamomile and rosehips. I was iffy about incorporating anything into the soap, besides an essential oil, but since it was VDH, I didn't care if it came out badly. The result is a very fine smelling soap that lathers and shaves as well as it did prior.

Sounds like a nice mix of scents. I might have to give this a try this. where did you get the stress soother?

I picked it up at a Rite Aid, but I know bath and body works and CVS also carry the brand. It worked out great in the soap, but it's really great on it's own. It honestly wakes me up like a big cup of coffee.

Good thing about VdH is you can add EOs, AS or colognes to it in order to give it whatever scent you prefer. Some like to use Ivy club Spice, and I have even used PCVI Bay Rum. :thumbup1:
