My pen throws up

I have a Parker vacumatic that I am giving a spin for the first time today. I notice that in two separate instances the pen just spit up some ink. Mind you, this was not in the writing field, but when I withdrew the pen to recap. It literally spilled some ink on the paper. What's going on here?

How much ink was in the pen? Could it be the case of a burp, like in an eyedropper filled pen?

Not really sure. I filled it this morning, and it has done it twice so far. It's filled with pilot iroshuzuki ink.

My 51 barfed once. It did it twice on the one fill.
Never did it again.
I hope it settles down. It's annoying when that happens.

Curious... did you refill it? My 21 burped a bit today while sending out some letters/pifs. I capped it, and switched pens. Gonna re ink it and see if that clears it up.

When was the last time you flushed the pen- could be something internal causing the ink to burp.... also any temperature or altitude changes?

You've obviously got a leak and the pen isn't holding vacuum behind the nib/feed. Is there section sealant on the barrel/section joint? Is the feed tight in the section? Correct feed? Maybe the diaphragm is compromised as I suggested earlier or not seated correctly. Probably needs to be gone through.
