Sent a rather pathetic NEW to member buddydog for a facelift and it arrived today. Simply beautiful, these pictires don't do it justice Thanks buddydog!
The NEW is my favorite DE to shave with, I have a second one that I've used while this one was away. It's almost too purty to use!Really, really nice - if the shave matches the pics you're in for a treat.
Very nice shaver you have there, have you tried the New Deluxe?
No sir, haven't got a deluxe.
If you get the chance, five one a try. I think the NEW Deluxe is definitely the finest open comb razor ever made.
OH No, No you didn't!!!!
OHHHHH darn, now I have to look for a New Deluxe.
If you get the chance, give one a try. I think the NEW Deluxe is definitely the finest open comb razor ever made.
Wow that thing looks almost.....NEW.
Buddydog did mine.I found a NEW at an antique store today for $2, what a find! I am not sure if I should refurbish it or not, much of the finish is worn off. Here is a pic...
If I decide to re-brass it, who can do it for me?

So, I have New Stanard (posted about my birthday haul here) and I want to get it replated. The head is worn about like the one pictured above. I've PM'd buddydog about replating it for me, but I have a question.
Why couldn't a replated razor be the daily driver? Why would it have to be relegated to special occasions? Is the finish fragile?
