The NEW is my favorite DE to shave with, I have a second one that I've used while this one was away. It's almost too purty to use!

If you get the chance, give one a try. I think the NEW Deluxe is definitely the finest open comb razor ever made.

I found a NEW at an antique store today for $2, what a find! I am not sure if I should refurbish it or not, much of the finish is worn off. Here is a pic...

Oh yeah, definitely get it a makeover,you can always pick up another one for daily use. I call my other one my beater, which will probably do most of the daily work. This one will be a showpiece, with use limited to special occasions.
So, I have New Stanard (posted about my birthday haul here) and I want to get it replated. The head is worn about like the one pictured above. I've PM'd buddydog about replating it for me, but I have a question.
Why couldn't a replated razor be the daily driver? Why would it have to be relegated to special occasions? Is the finish fragile?

I would think there would be no problem with it being a "daily driver". I have a Bull Mastiff with a re-plated "new" head....use it every day!
