Got my”new to me” Gillette!

Hello everyone,
New member here and I thought that I would share that I just received ,and used with great results, my “new to me” Gillette Slim Adjustable Razor. I finally found a nice one on EBay with its original plastic box. I lathered up with some Poraso Green and finished off with some Pinaud classic aftershave. Great shave! I set it on setting 5 with great results.

I used these… I gave the razor a good wash and installed a new blade. It did rather well!

Welcome to B&B. Nice razor - I have a Slim myself, or as they were marketed here in the UK, a "Gillette Adjustable Mark II". If James Bond can use one in Goldfinger, then I can use one

One of my two favorite razors (the other is a FatBoy). Great razors, haven't found a blade yet that didn't work well at one setting or another on those razors.

Also, Frank Sinatra -- in real life! Life Magazine ran a photo essay in 1966 showing the Chairman of the Board shaving with one at a resort hotel in Florida (iirc) where he was about to perform.

Is this the photo of Frank from the Life photo essay? I can't tell if it is a Slim. On a side note 1966 is the year that my father gave me my first razor which happened to be a Gillette Slim.
