My new Georgetown Scuttle.

Received this latest version of the Georgetown Scuttle in Hamada today.

Tried it immediately with a Simpson Tulip 3 and Fitjar Amber shaving soap. The scuttle delivered what I wanted, warm lather through all the passes.

What you see in the picture is what was left of the lather after 3 passes. It was very easy to get a great lather in the GT, and even with hot tap water the lather kept nicely warm. I will use almost boiling water tomorrow, nothing like really warm lather to your skin, and delivered in the beautiful way of a GT scuttle, well, I am happy

Will post updates when I have used it a little longer.

Scuttle looks great, lather looks a little airy Probably just the picture. That is definitely my favorite coloring for the GTown scuttle though, nice!

I have a dirty bird scuttle and love it but that Georgetown looks really nice. One tip I can give to new scuttle users, is when placing the lathered brush back into the scuttle, press it down in there a bit so that the inner part of the brush as well as the leftover lather is in maximal contact with the sides of the scuttle. That way the brush and the lather will be extra warm for your next pass.

Beautiful...if I were to cough up the $$, I'd go with something containing blue.
Does the inner bowl separate from the outer shell to add hot water (on either this one or the DB) ?.

Yes. If you look closely, you can see the opening in front were you add hot water.

Today I warmed the inner and outer bowl in hot tap water while shovering, and added almost boiling water in the reservoar before making the lather. The scuttle was so hot I had to put it down, and the lather was almost boiling The brush and lather was kept very warm during my hole shave, and I am very satisfied with this scuttle. The quality seems very high. Many nice colours, I took the Hamada because most of my shaving stuff is either black or white/ebony. The Hamada matched very well.
