My new aswesome brush

I just used my new Custom Shavemac D01 and this brush is amazing. I face lather so this is the brush that Bernd recommended. It's a lathering machine. I used a Mama Bear's Irish Tweed shave stick for the first time and thought it did a fine job. Can't wait for tomorrow to try it with my Cella, then my Pre de Provence and finally my Provence Sante.

Thanks to everyone who said so many positive things about Shavemac and the D01.

So honestly, those that have owned both a SR and shavemac - Is there any difference? Same handle designs and all with all the rumors that shavemac builds SR brushes to their specs.

Just interested so that I know if I actually 'have' to order a SR for my collection.

In short, if you already have a Shavemac, nah. In fact, my biggest gripe with SR is that they only have bulb knots. Pronounced bulbs at that. Bernd will do bulb, fan, or flat - whatever you want. I'm *this* close to finally pulling the trigger on one of his knots, just got to wait out a couple of things.

They sure seem to be on par with each other, don't they? I have always wondered if there was some sort of affiliation, but I am not thinking so.
