Rhodium plating is amazing!Gorgeous Slim - best I ever saw!!
Rhodium is awesome isn't it. Oh wow that Toggle must look amazing! Could I we see a photo?Rhodium plating is amazing!
I am fortunate enough to have a Toggle in that same plating.
It's hard to find a clear shell isn't it. Maybe that clouding could be remove with some light abrasive polish compound?Very nice. I have the red and white case -- it came with my '62 Slim from eBay -- but the clear plastic shell is clouded in spots.
I will try to get a photo or two posted, but I have found that my pictures don't really do the razor justice. I'm not good at photography. But I will see what I can do.Rhodium is awesome isn't it. Oh wow that Toggle must look amazing! Could I we see a photo?
That’d be great We’d all love to see, I’m sure your photos will be just fine! Haha yes that’s very true! or Walker’s (Lay’s) to us UK folk .Vintage Gillettes in general and techs in particular are kind of like that old slogan from Lay’s. You can’t have just one. And there’s plenty of options too
Personally, I think that the very first Aristocrats from the early 1930''s with open combs are the most beautiful Gillettes. The British versions are particularly nice. Also, if you can find a Gillette Regent you will have something truly rare - and pretty.I'm not sure tbh, maybe an aristocrat (the one piece turn to open job). Well if I'm honest my dream is a Gillette Toggle (isn't it everyones lol) but they are too expensive for my liking haha. Or an aristocrat Fatboy in the Christmas edition case. Who knows, I'll keep my eye out!
Do you have any suggestions?
Very true those are some beautiful razors you've mentioned. Hopefully I'll come across them during my search lol.Personally, I think that the very first Aristocrats from the early 1930''s with open combs are the most beautiful Gillettes. The British versions are particularly nice. Also, if you can find a Gillette Regent you will have something truly rare - and pretty.
Agreed, I'm the proud owner of a pristine 1934 Aristocrat, and a 2nd gen No.15...Personally, I think that the very first Aristocrats from the early 1930''s with open combs are the most beautiful Gillettes. The British versions are particularly nice. Also, if you can find a Gillette Regent you will have something truly rare - and pretty.
OMG that is the best looking Toggle I've ever seen!!! It's so shiny and beautiful, please can I have it? haha. I personally much prefer the toggle in rhodium or nickel. I'm not really a fan of the gold plated razors, of any kind. So it's really nice to see such an amazing example of a Toggle! Thank you so much for sharing, I am very envious lol.I got a few pics of my Rhodium Gillette Toggle for you, as promised. I hope you enjoy them.
Thank you for sharing! That's really lovely that is was your grandfathers too! It must be very special to shave with it and have such a precious piece in your collectionBeautiful Slim Adjustable!!! Here’s a couple of mine. Best thing is this was my grandfather’s.
