My badger herd (customs and a Classic)

I have been rolling with my two customs for about the last 5-6 months. I had a pretty decent year in fantasy football, so I had some cash sitting in my PayPal account. What else would a guy do with it? I've had my eye on a Classic for a long time, so I pounced on a good deal on the BST earlier this week because the knot looked amazing. Here they are...



Custom on the left is a Rudy Vey black knight 24mm TGN 2-band XH bulb, which measures 25/47 with my cheap calipers. It's kind of a Tulip/Harvard mash-up that I requested.
Middle is the Simpsons Classic 1, obviously, which measures at 24/45. (doesn't that seem like a fat knot for a Classic 1?)
Custom on the right was done by DeRuitem. It's a quasi-Eagle, finished with a 22mm TGN 2-band XH fan, which measures 23/46.

I used the Classic for the first time this morning, and it was a little dynamo. Hairs definitely have a tiny bit more "give" to them than the 2-bands, but it was fantastic. Lathered like nobody's business.

OHHHHH, and I also have a Vie-Long 16510 2-band at the 50mm loft en route from Spain.

It's going to be a deathmatch to see which ones stay. I'm thinking only 2, maybe 3, will survive.

Those are some beautiful, beautiful brushes... I especially love the Rudy Vey Black Night but the Deruitem is stunning also.

Thanks man. The RV is my favorite too. Handle looks good and feels good, and the knot is perfect for me. Tons of backbone and stays small on the face. The fan one has more splay.

Loving those 2 bands...wow Rudy sure knows brushes.
