After browsing my local antique store that I visit every other weekend I came across these 3 straights. I wanted them instantly and had the store call the vendor to make a deal. I negotiated under $100 dollars for the 3 of them. All 3 straights have whale bone scales which I love. I know for sure the blades need to be polished up and conditioned but I’m happy with them even if they cant be made to give a great shave. I believe 2 out of the 3 will clean up nicely though, maybe all 3. All 3 also have their original boxes. These are the firsts straights I’ve purchased besides my Diamondine from Gentlemen’s Best that I use to shave now. Any further information you guys can offer is appreciated as always. How'd I do? Pictures are below...
The first straight is marked “The J.R. Torrey Co.Worcester Mass”
Engraving on the blade.
The second straight is marked “The Radiumite Co Dayton, Ohio”
Engraving on the blade with heavy pitting/rust?
The third straight is marked “Tonsorial Gem”
On the opposite side the straight is marked “F.A. Clauberg New-York Made in Germany”
All 3
