MWF - Wow....what a mark up

Just looking at a vendor in relation to another thread, MWF for $20.00 plus
wow, I have looked at another and they are the same .

It's the equivalent of $7.20 in England....

Then why do many shaving products match the exchange rates and are the dollar equivalents? I often buy online in the US for European products....

I got my Kent/MWF from the kent ebay store in the uk. It was alot cheaper buying it there and shipping it to Canada then buying it in Canada/Usa

The pricing on MWF in particular seems all over the board. From decent online retailers that I buy from I've seen the soap w/dish as low as $35 and as high as $70. ***? I really can't see why the second vendor would have it priced at 2x.

From the kent ebay store it was ~$25 Canadian shipped if i remember right

It works both ways guys. In the odd places that sell things like Col Conk and Mama Bear's, the price to pay here would be about double what you guys pay for them! Crazy

I reckon, find someone you are happy to trade with from here, and do a bit of 2-way sending...."I'll send you 1 MWF and you send me 1 Mama bears" etc. Probably the cheapest way of doing it - though open to abuse by some i guess, trying to palm off a cheap product for a more pricey one!

I bought the Kent wool fat on ebay for $16 shipped I think.

Bull Goose shaving supplies has it for $13, not sure what shipping would be.

I lucked out and got it quite cheap awhile ago with the dish. I thank Ambrose for pointing me in the right direction for that buy.

There's another retailer on eBay, UK based, that sells the dish too. The seller's name is sheep supplies or something like that? (This is not a joke!!) It's all Wool Fat products and more. Not sure if they ship to the US though.

I did too last year, it was a steal even before the pound dropped. I picked up the refill from Fendrihan for about $17. It would be nice to get the ceramic bowl but I can live without it for now.

I picked up my ceramic dish and soap for right around $33 shipped from grooming-health.com last summer. It is most definitely cheaper to order from a UK based site.
