This is the first loose soap puck I have purchased & the stainless bowl I got to go with it. Will the puck affix to the bottom of the stainless bowl or will it need to be milled and pressed. The bowl diameter is a little larger than that of the puck. Thanks in advance!
Milling it with a cheese grater will make it easier to lather. Although its its not necessary, I would do it particularly if you have a floppy brush. It should look nice in that stainless bowl after milling.
Or wet the soap and put it in the bowl. After drying it will stick to the bottom.
I hate milling soaps. They seem to soak up more water and it changes the scent, esp for a soap like MWF.
Just wet your hand and rub one side of the puck and just stick it down into the container and leave it to dry for a couple of hours. It will be held securely in place.
Ive got mwf but in the ceramic holder. The first time I used it, which was my first soap, I happened to put to much water onto the puck and its seemed to have stuck to the bottom and has never moved since. That was roughly 3 months ago and I've moved home since too.
I did see some guy put a post up which he super glued a couple off ball bearings into the bottom of the bowl to stop it moving, apparently it worked a treat.
