MWF question???

Just picked up a puck of MWF - wanted to put it in a nice bowl - I saw there is glycerin in it......can I nuke this in the microwave so it fits snuggly?

No nuking allowed.

Can you just shave away at the outside to remove enough to make it fit?
The removed portions could be put back on top of the puck.

I wouldn't think so. Despite whatever glycerin may be in it, MWF isn't a glycerin-based soap. Milling would be safer.

Also, MWF tends to grow on its own as you add water to it. So you might just drop it into the bowl, use it, and see how it does.

Glycerol is a byproduct of saponification. So since the ingredients list the byproducts (Sodium Tallowate) rather than the ingredients (Tallow, NaOH) they list Glycerin.

In short, nope, it's not a melt and pour.

My first ever puck of Mitchell's fit nicely in a vintage custard glass Old Spice mug that you find online or if lucky in an antique store. Now the remnants of my last MWF puck (scraps) rest in the ceramic container that has the Mitchell's logo etc on it. All in all I like the ceramic container, but the Old Spice mug is a classy way to use it as well.
