Musgo shaving cream

They describe the Musgo scent as a vetiver/patchouli blend. You can search on those notes on The Perfumed Court.

Any of you fellas know of any colognes that smell similar to Musgo's shaving cream? You know, that grassy, green/soapy smell?

I believe that what many refer to as the "grassy smell" in Musgo is actually hayflower. (Process of elimination as Musgo has a very unique smell and the other ingredients aren't very unique, IMO). Why don't you just use Musgo aftershave? It's listed as an after shave/cologne because it's more potent than most aftershaves.

This is a great suggestion. The cream & aftershave scent are identical.
I thought Musgo makes colognes though & one is in the classic scent?

It's something to think about. My concern is that I don't doubt the aftershave has the same "grassy" scent but not the "soapiness" scent that inherently come with the shaving cream.

According to my nose, they smell nothing alike, although they complement each other. Musgo does not put out a cologne of their A/S scent; the three they do offer are different from the A/S.

I've had the pleasure of using Musgo recently (very slick!), and I have to say a grassy smell like that for an EdT? I'd market it as "Tomboy."

I tried it this week and its good stuff, but too expensive in the US. I would like to buy in Europe cheaper but don't know if you can.

Musgo Real is made in Portugal by Claus Porto, so it makes sense one should be able to buy the brand in Europe, although I have no idea where. What we get here in the states has been imported by Lafco in New York, and it even has the Lafco logo printed on the packaging, indicating Claus Porto packages specifically for the U.S./North American market. Still, I would think the products themselves are the same as what's available in other countries. Perhaps doing a country-specific search for online vendors in your area might help.
