Murker Progress. What more needs to be said.

Just recieved my Murker Progress the other day and gave it a shot this morning with a Astra SP blade. The BEST new DE Razor on the market today. Not even a weeper dialed in at 3.5 for an all around shave. Any similer experiances out there? I'm totally pleased by my BBS results. Wife just loves it.
I tried some Wilkinson Blue soap within the above mentioned combination.

I used the Progress daily for over a year and was very happy with it. My favorite blade was the Feather. But while I did get consistently good shaves, I also had frequent nicks. I am now using the Edwin Jagger DE89. Until recently, when I switched to a heavier handle, it provided better comfort but not as close a shave. With the Feather AS handle on it, it now matches the Progress for closeness and beats it for comfort.

Glad you are enjoying your new razor. Opinions on "best" razor are about as individual as "best" soap or cream. I like the progress ( like the mergress even more ) and the ability to adjust the aggressivness is a definite plus.

Big Progress fan here, too. I got the long handle, and it's a very well balanced tool for me. I usually go to a 3 for WTG, then down to 1.5 for the rest, very close and comfortable. Down to 1 for blade buffing of the multi-grain areas, et voila

After two shaves, my Progress has already become my favorite razor as well!
