FS Moving Sale (Tanifuji, CV Heljestrand, and more)

Ok guys, so I’m gearing up to move and trying to clear out anything I don’t use on a regular basis. A few razors, a few accessories. Add $3 for CONUS on anything, PM to figure out international rates. If you buy more than one thing and are CONUS I’ll cover the shipping.

Mutukusuyama 1000

I lapped the non-stamp side and put some epoxy over the stamp. Used just once for one razor, works great, doesn’t clog. $65

Wade and Butcher 6/8 Near Wedge

Original horn scales, lead or pewter spacer. Probably c. 1860-1890. Very clean, very nice shaver. $200

CV Heljestrand MK31, 5/8

Nice shaver, original scales, not much more to say about these 31s. There’s a little bit of staining on the blade from one of my naguras, purely aesthetic and would come off with polish easily. $85

Thiers Issard Dandy 5/8

Vintage, not quite a full hollow, original scales, this was one of my favorite razors at one point but got supplanted by the another TI full hollow. Has some water stains, otherwise very nice. $70

Simpson’s Chubby 2 in Best Badger

I’m the only owner, only used it a handful of times. Lathers like a beast and all day long. It does shed a hair from time to time. $100

Koma Asano Nagura 124 g

Got this from JNS in one of the like 30 minute windows when they were available. Put some sloppy epoxy over the stamps, but it makes a nice creamy slurry. Another one I only used about 3 times, so still at 124 grams. The bottom side is rough cut so use the edges for slurry. $100

Tanifuji Maxfli Gold 100

This has been the crown jewel of my collection. Not happy to put it up, but I just don’t use it nearly as much as I look at it. Legendary razor, super clean, no hone wear, shaves like nothing else. Scales are not original, is the only thing keeping it from being a pristine collector piece. $160
