moustache wax for handlebar?

Hello everyone after month and half of growing moustache i got a handlebar which i like. what is the best wax for hold? and where can i buy it?. thanks...

I have tried quite a few and Firehouse Wacky Tacky is at the top of my list. Tied for second place is Hndlebars and Queen City. I really like a few others but they are more of a medium hold. They are Oregon Wild Hair, Revernd Harrington's, Men's Face Stuff, and Firehouse Dark.

I really like the Man's Face Stuff, both the tins and the stick.
I love their scents but I wish the hold was stronger. I do rate it higher on the medium hold category. I do have their unscented stick but that takes all the fun out of buying their wax if it has no scent.

i use several. Mr. Taylor's Moustache Wax (nice scent) Firehouse (tacky) Captain Fawcett's Moustache Wax. BUT PM me for a secret I use for curling the tips....!

Just buy Got2b Glued spiking gel...you can buy it just about anywhere, its cheap, a tube will last forever and it will hold your stache all day.

I like the stick if I'm out and about and just need a quick touch up. If you have it and chap stick at the same time make sure you put each one in a different pocket!

i'll have to try that! I use a non-toxic, glue stick that I just wash out with warm soap and water (my big secret....lol)

so i'm guessing that there are way better mustache waxes than the Pinaud Mustache wax with the mustache comb? That's the one i was gonna buy

I was just reading a DIY recipe for mustache wax: equal parts beeswax and petroleum jelly. It might be worth a try, if you happen to have both around the house.

I tried the Pinaud wax because it was the only one available locally, it does not have very good 'hold'...it is fairly cheap, couldnt hurt to try it.

I made a batch using beeswax and petroleum jelly with a splash of Clubmans AS for scent...it works ok but I need to work on the mixture ratio, mine turned out a bit too soft and a bit greasy, it sure is cheap to make compared to buying stache wax

Alot of waxes that you buy are this mixture

One wax that I really like is Mr Kings Marvelous Mustache Wax from the UK, you can pick it up on eBay. No petroleum jelly and it works really good

I picked up a tube of Got2B Glue today. I am going to try it out tomorrow morning. I am getting decent hold out of Queen City wax today. Not quite as good as Firehouse Wacky Tacky though.

Let us know how it works out for you.
It does not take much..work it through your stache, comb it through and start styling..it sets fairly quickly.
I let it set and then comb it through, this leaves a more natural look and a less plastic feel...if you want tight curls dont comb it after it sets

If you like the beeswax/petroleum jelly mix, just go to the plumbing section at Home Depot and pick up a wax toilet ring. Brown has more beeswax. Yellow has more petroleum jelly. $2 for a lifetime supply (well, at my age anyway).

Actually I would not recommend this.
I looked into this as I thought that toilet rings would be a cheap source of bees wax.
Turns out that they do not use bees wax any more and havent since the 1960's, todays toilet rings are made of a petroleum/chemical mixture that probably isnt too good for you.
A toilet ring made of bees wax would cost quite a bit more than what they sell for

Heres a cut n paste from a website

Wax rings are made from a combination of petrolatum and proprietary ingredients that vary among manufacturers. The wax rings made by Hercules Chemical in New Jersey are typical of the way that the manufacturing process works. The petrolatum is shipped into the factory and stored in liquid form at 170 degrees Fahrenheit until it is needed. The petrolatum is then mixed with other chemicals that keep it solidified at room temperature and then poured into aluminum molds coated with a soap compound

I tried the Got2B Glue today and I am very impressed. My stach only has 7 weeks of growth on it so it is tough to get it to do anything! This stuff really does its job. Very sticky, more so than any wax I have tried. Sorry for the stubble I have not shaved yet today.
