Most comfortable Best Badgar Shaving Brush?

Hey gents,

what would you guys suggest is the most comfortable Best Badger Shaving Brush?

Pure is too prickly so i want to try a Best.

Brushes are very personal (as any shave related item).

So far I have only used a boar and a super badger so I can't really help you out but in the brush subforum you are likely to get some helpful responses.

For best grade badger I'd say that a very comfortable choice would be the Simpson's Colonel. Soft, scrubby, decent backbone but not uncomfortable or scritchy. Great for a massaging scrub.

I only own silvertips and boar. I'd suggest you need to own more than one brush, but if you only get one badger, I'd go silvertip. Shavemacs are good and Rudy Vey has some custom brushes. I own both and recommend them.

I would say the Colonel is a good one-mine is in my rotation and I still like it. That said, I'm sorry I did not get the Duke 3 in best badger. If I were buying it now I would go with the Duke 3, maybe even Duke 2. I assume you are a face latherer.

I love my EJ Best Badger in ivory. A perfect mid-point between my AOS pure and my Parker Silvertip (both of which I'm a fan).
