Morris & Forndran brushes - EUROPE SHOP needed !

I have emailed Lee twice and still no reply.
Vintageblades do not ship overseas - so looking to find a reseller in Europe.

Have you contacted Vintage Blades to see if they'll make an exception for you? Classicshaving.com also sells them and may ship overseas. You could also post a WTB in the BST. I did score an unused M&F Super there last week. My 1/2 blonde is still king of my den so I think these brushes are worth the effort to seek out. I think the 1/2 is the size brush you are looking for.

Thanks - I have contacted Vintageblades and they refuse to ship to Europe.
I also know classicshaving, but they don't have the M&F I look for.........

Anyone know of a website that has an overview of which M&F brushes I can get - or are they all custom made by Lee ?

I find it quite funny that Rooney and M&F really stress that they are Made in England, but you can't buy them anywhere on the entire European continent - only overseas in the US
Who would make a brush in England and then only sell it in the US....hmmmm :sneaky2:

Want me to order one for you?

No seriously. Couldn't you have someone in the US order one for you and ship it your way? Don't think that's illegal or anything.

Thanks Mate

I will do that - I'm asking a B&B member, that already will bring me my Rooney Stubby 2XL to Denmark in September - I'm probably pushing it a bit here, but hope he maybe will help me with this M&F Blonde Badger too.
If not, and I will perfectly understand if 2 brushes is pushing it a bit, I will try to push my luck and have another B&B member help me out here :001_smile

Still surprised over how Rooney and M&F brushes are so rare and only sold in one or two stores in the US and not in a single shop outside of the US..........does this guy not want our money & business :biggrin1:

I'm thinking of starting a small shaving webshop in Denmark, that will sell Rooney, M&F, Semogue, Thäter, Shavemac, Edwin jagger, GFT stuff and some of the Italian brands.
If I can't find any shops in Europe that sells what I want, there must be a need for such a shop - or maybe I'm the only one crazy enough to demand such shaving stuff in Northern Europe (I think I am some times - have never seen shaving cream or shaing soap in any supermarket in Denmark ever....only canned gel and foam)

Barbiere di Figaro is in the Netherlands. Unforunately, they don't stock the brushes you're looking for.

I would like to re-iterate two points: 1) Lee is VERY slow, even moreso over the past 6 months. Patience is a must. 2) You can tell who the heavy hitters are in the M&F thread --- PM any one of those guys (me included) and I bet they would be happy to be a middle man.

If I knew ANYTHING about web-design, I would offer to set up a website for Lee and just work off of a brush-for fee payment system. ;)

Cool idea for the store. And it's my pleasure. Just let me know and I can order whatever you need.

Thanks for the offer - I just might take advantage of that in case my B&B friend only will help me with the Rooney Stubby 2XL (As said, I will perfectly understand that - who will shell out $320 for a guy you have never met , who lives in a small little country on the other side of the globe) - only a crazy B&B member would do that.......ha...ha

I have only met gentleman like this in one other area - in the golfing world. I also play golf, and most golfers are also true gentlemen , just like traditional wet shavers obviously also are :biggrin1:

Claus, the fact that they are hard to obtain makes them that much more desirable!

I guess you're right - once -if ever - I get this M&F Blonde Badger and my Rooney Stubby 2XL in hand will I truly learn to appreciate them, especially knowing how difficult they were to get hold of :001_cool:

If lee ever responds, I will ask if he can make me a true custom made 2-bander - that will in that case be a Christmas present for myself since I already have bought 10 brushes in July/August - must cut down and start to enjoy my acquisitions

I have now contacted the super friendly B&B member, who helped me with the Rooney Stubby 2XL brush and asked if he is (crazy friendly enough) willing to also shell out $130 for an M&F Blonde Badger and take it with him across the sea to Denmark, when he will meet up with me in September in Copenhagen - I don't like to ask for favors like this, but these Rooney and M&F brushes are crazy hard to get for a European shaving fan, hope he doesn't think I'm asking for too much..... :blushing:

WoW - just WoW

This is unreal :thumbup1:

B&B member, USCGME3, has now ordered the M&F BB 2-Bander in 24 mm knot size with the ivory imitation handle for me - and will bring it over to me in September along with the Rooney Stubby 2XL - FANTASTIC, got to thank him 1000 times

This just made my day a great deal better !!!

Sounds identical to mine. The style 1, size 2? I absolutely love mine and I hope you do too!

Congrats! September can't come soon enough!

Claus: Isnt there a way to make contact directly whit the shop (were they are made) in england ? I will try tomorow and if get contact whit them I let you know.

I ve also into 2band brushes and was lucky to get 2 M&F on BST 2 weeks ago, one Beehive and one Barrel both unused.http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/304756-FS-Badger-Brushes
That was like a miracle I have been looking att exactly those brushes for a couple of months and never thought that I would be able to get them in one deal!

So now I am waiting for a nice day to try them out.

Here on B&B you never know whats going to turn up, thats really exiting, but bad for your wallet.

Now Iam looking for a Rooney Stubby size 1 or 2,and the B&B le 2009 in butterscotch.

My RAD is quite bad, but I believe that Iam more patient now than I was like two months back, I have to have sommething on the way by post otherwise it feels realy borring.

I have emailed Lee 3 times, Lee is the the maker and owner of Rooney and M&F, but he does not respond to my emails for some reason :sneaky2:

I was lucky enough though. A B&B member, who's wife works in Copenhagen, will visit her in September and asked if he could bring me some shaving stuff from the US and I ordered a Rooney Heritage Stubby 2XL and a M&F Blonde Badger size 2 - extremely nice guy, not everyone would pay for 2 expensive brushes in advance and bring them with him to Copenhagen, and for a guy he has never even met

You missed out on a 2009 about 2 weeks ago on b/s/t...I did not! It was unused from down under and arrived last week. Still have yet to use it...not sure whether to go for a soap or cream for its first run...It seems like a cream might be to its liking, though i guess i should bite the bullet and start test lathering with both to get a better feel for it.

Claus-there was no indication the 1/2 was out of stock. I will let you know when it ships. If it does not arrive for this trip, i have 2 more scheduled for this fall.
