Mountain waters - Blackcurrant and tea; among my favorite scents, very subtle and pleasant.
Dublin tweed - Very green, kind of reminds me of Irish Spring bath soap, but better.
Sweet vetiver - Smooth soft vetiver; very nice.
Ocean rain - Smells like honeydew mellon to me. Pleasant, but not my favorite.
Carribean - Smells like Sprite to me. Again, pleasant, but not my favorite.
Earl grey - Very light scent (almost imperceptible), do not detect much black tea or bergamot, unfortunately.
British leather - Leathery, not my favorite. Smells of old furniture/old men.
Good morning honey - Too sweet; dominated by honey note.
Spicey lime - I could not tell this apart from Carribean...
I got a few more samples with my order (ordered Mountain Waters and Sweet Vetiver) and thought I would post my observations:
First of all, I revisited Ocean Rain and like it much more now. Although I still detect honeydew mellon, it is more complex than that and when I think about it, it actually does remind me of the scent's namesake. So an upgrade to that scent and I may actually consider purchasing it.
New scents (to me):
Elements of Bamboo- smells just like the name, lightly woody, kind of zen, I really really like this one. Curious if anyone has a comparison to SCS Bleached Wood.
Marauders- Bay rum with citrus (tangerine, reportedly). I have mixed feelings about bay rum and thought a mix with some citrus would be more agreeable to me. However, the cloves in this scent are still too strong for me and I don't really fancy it.
Veldfire- Very complex and very good. Definitely detect vetiver, but not so strong and purely as in so many perfumes/colognes. Also detect woody notes and smoky notes, but I can't give any more details than that. If any of this sounds intriguing to you, I strongly suggest you try it. I have never smelled anything like it and it is definitely good.
If you have tried any of these, let me know what you think!
