Milord

Hey Gents,

So my Milord arrived today and I just had a few questions. I already looked at the Wiki on it, the razor came in a milord case with the blade cartridge but the razor looks essentially like a 40s SS. Are they pretty much the same thing or is there a way to identify it? I'm still getting used to identifying different razors. Thanks.

They are basically a gold plated Super Speed

That is a 40's SS in a Milord Case, if it is silver.

A Milord is Gold.

Maybe it's the photo, but that looks silver to me.

thats the same thing I thought then in the Wiki it had pictures of gold and silver, it feels a little hevier than my 40s SS but probably just my imagination. eh either way it was 5 bucks so score haha

An SS in that condition goes for 20 bucks regularly, and the cases are very nice to have, because they don't make them any more, and it is a lot easier to find a Milord without a case than with one.

When you buy your Milord, you'll already have a case for it!

got these two for about $30 total, lost items in fuzzy "group buy" pictures

I "Accidentally" scored my Milord too. I bought a vintage toiletries set which looked quite good from the fuzzy photo. I thought it might be nice to use and it was quite cheap. The listing didn't give away much more than the photo, I think it just said "Complete and in "as new" condition".

Well, long story short, it wasn't complete. What I took, in the blurry picture, to be a soap case, was in fact a brown Milord razor case with a mint condition Milord inside.

You have to have a win every now and then....
