So, I am going to be in the Mideast soon. Any Mideast or Indian brands recommended? I can PIF a few budget pens if I find some in the souks.

Here are some Indian manufacturers that are fairly well known:
Deccan, Guider, Ranga, Ratnamson: Handmade Ebonite pens
Serwex, Camlin, Airmail/Wallity: Lower end, usually plastic eyedropper fillers, but some interesting models worth trying.
The nice thing about Indian pens is even the higher-end stuff is really inexpensive in comparison to what we get here in the West.
