Recently purchased this razor off the bay. Took a little bit of clean up but easy to hone up. I’m really new to straight razor shaving and have fallen in love with it. Definitely my relaxing time at the end of the day. Does anyone have any info on this brand? Where they were made? Any experience with them? Thanks.

It was made by Goedecke & Co. GmbH. (a Solingen house).
The trademark on Metropol dates from 1904, but this one looks more recent. More like something from the 60ies.
I have not seen a Metropol before, but other models they made included the Cosmos and the Carmen.
