I'm happy because I got the L'Occitane Cade soap in the bowl and some English Leather cologne (my last bottle of this scent was over 30 years ago!!)!

Merry Christmas, gentlemen! It's been a great Christmas. Two days of family get-togethers, a party with friends tomorrow, and I got to enjoy singing in our church's Christmas Eve services again this year. We did a lot of Bach and Handel's Hallelujah chorus. Twice. My voice is shot today.

I want to share a major surprise gift I received today that blew me away. Some background: one of my mom's brothers, Jimmy, disappeared when I was very little. I barely remember him. Today, after we'd finished dinner and gift exchanges at my parent's house, my uncle (Mom's other brother) brought a guitar case in the living room and presented it to me. Inside was a Gibson Marauder. Jimmy bought it in 1977. We all got choked up over that. I was speechless. I've never picked up a guitar in my life but I'm going to learn it, with my uncle's help.

I got everything I asked for, but stuff like this just runs circles around anything that can be bought.
