I have been using a Gillette adjustable for most of my wet shaving life (around 15 years); I have my grandfathers toggle, which I put aside for now as it needs a bar adjustment. I also have his slim adjustable that I have been using since the bar problems with the toggle.
Years ago, before I knew much about DE razors, I bought a Merkur. Not knowing the difference, I bought a 37c (at least I think thats what it is) that has a slant bar. I recently got it out again and tried it, now that I have better technique, soaps, and brushes (thanks B&B!), and I really liked it. I enjoyed the heft of it and the slant didn't bother me like I thought it would. My only complaint with it is that the handle is shorter than I like. I looked at the long handled Merkurs online and I like them, but what I really like is the angled handle of the 1904. So here is the question - do they make anything with that hexagonal handle that is longer like the long handled razors?
