Merkur Progress head shape

A quick question for you.

Does the Progress have a head the same size as the 34/38C or is it larger?

I took some progress head pics with blade at the setting I use:

larger (only slightly), probably heavier, and curves the blade a lot more.

the slots behind the saftey bar seem a lot bigger too, no chance of lather getting trapped in there.

Using it like this completely changes the charactoristics of the razor taking away the the pronounced curvature of the blade and the blade tension. I use this for one pass DFS shaves. At this setting it's kind of scary around the mouth area. I enjoy the excitement.

That was the information I needed. As long as it's similar I'll be happy enough and so and I've decided to give the longer handled one a go.

Hi Mark,

the top caps are the same. The base on the progress is thicker but the same size.
