Merkur 37C Slant vs. 39C Slant

Hey Folks,

I was wondering if anyone who might have experience with both of these what the differences are between the two. I know the handles are different, but are the heads identical? I'm assuming the 39C is slightly heavier?

The 39C is a bit heavier, a little over an ounce. The 37C weighing in at 2.7 ounces and 39C weighing in just over 4 ounces. I have shaved with both, and they both have pretty good balance, but I like the 39C better. I enjoy the heavier weight, but since I have large hands I enjoy the extra length as well.

+1 on these comments. I had the 37c and 39c. Both give extraordinary, ultra-smooth shaves. I preferred the heavier weight, greater length and balance of the 39c ('the sledgehammer') over the smaller-handled 37c. I sold the 37c.

I agree with previous comments. I have both and prefer the 39C because of the extra weight and longer handle. IMO it feels better in my hand. However, both give a great shave.
