Mergress and bad razor burn

Set at 2 1/2 today. Face lathered Phoenix Doppelgänger. Good shave but a little chin irritation again. I’m definitely thinking Phoenix soap just doesn’t do it for me with this razor. Works fine with their DOC but I need a little more protection with the Progress. Back to Trumpers Violet tomorrow.

Yeah, crappy shave today. Scuttle lathered Phoenix CaD. Face was irritated all day. Mergress is going up on the shelf for awhile. I need to take a break. I am thinking that at the very least, when I use the Mergress in the future face lathering seems to be a must for me.
