Men's Boar Bristle Hair Brush

doctordial

my brain goes "thonk"
Ok Gents, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a brush? I have very thin hair and very thin fine hair in the middle and back called vellus(aka baby hair...and for your jokers, I can see coming, no I'm not a baby) Is there a boar brush you would recommend. I had a nice one years ago and someone thew it away out of spite.

doctordail:
I had a problem with Kent wood brushes in the past that not properly 'sealed' leading to 'warping & splitting' due to using them w/ water.

Sadly, even my most recent Kent PF22 has unfortunately failed the test above and I'm beginning to think 'it's all in the handle'. :001_rolle

I'm now using the WavEnforcer Brush #552 which in my opinion is a awesome wood (sealed), brush made with 100% pure firm, natural boar bristles.

As a low cost option, I acquired these two lovely brushes in a toiletries set containing a 1930s razor and I suspect them to be of the same period. They are marked 'Made In England' and 'Natural Ebony'. I suspect one is a hair brush and one a clothes brush. Toiletries sets like this are inexpensive on the bay and if the razor is missing then they are practically free. The quality of the contents, including the brushes, is normally very high and would be expensive to replicate in modern products. Quite often all the contents are completely unused and spotlessly clean. I have so many like this that I actually use these for shining my shoes.

These, from another set, I use as clothes brushes:

Here is an example of another set I purchased for less than the cost of a new Kent hair brush:
