Meet My Two New SOCs

My new SOC boar arrived on Monday, and my new 2012 Special Edition SOC with the mixed boar / badger knot arrived today.



I've used the SOC boar a few times now, but the SOC Special Edition is right out of the box.

I think I'm going to love both of these brushes. I'm grateful to everyone here who convinced me that I needed both instead of one or the other.

Received a BST SOC in Cherry this week myself (just thought I needed to try one). I'm pretty snobbish on Badger but the test lather today with the SOC was quite impressive, will actually put it to use tomorrow.

It actually looks nicer than it appears in my photo. The handle is not solid black, but has a marbled effect. Very cool. Can't wait to use it tomorrow.

Perhaps you weren't one of the actual enablers, but I bet you were with them in spirit.

I'll let you know about the results of my first lathers with the mixed boar / badger knot. I can tell already that it has terrific backbone. As someone else said to me, don't wait too long if you might want one of these. They are a limited edition and have already sold out at VintageScent.com, although they are still available at a few other sites.

Congrats. I see the boar has already started to bloom - and if you like it already, you can now look forward to 30 or so shaves with it getting better each time

Can't wait to hear how you like the SE 2012 too - I'm pretty much convinced it's my favourite brush now.

I used my SOC for the first time last night – what a great brush! And it's only going to get better!
