Looks like Syngent isn't the only one to have had issues with cat + ink... lol

It's been kicking around the Net a while now, but I bumped into it again, and didn't see where it had been posted here previously, so I figured some members may not have seen it, and would get a kick out of it. :)

Manuscript translation ...

"Beest thout advised and fullie fore-warnned against the use in thine quill of the Devil's own ink, the Baystateth Blue. This infernal ink wilt surely staineth thine quill a most noticeable shade of blue, and thou wilst ne'er be able to removeth that stain once it hath fully establish'd itself upon thine parchment."

I thought it said this...

O Lord, bless this thy Hand Grenade that with it thou mayest blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy.First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin.
Then, shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.

anyone else see the ghosting on that paper,... must be early Hilroy

You can totally tell that isnt my cat, because there are no words crossed out and re spelled on that entire page

+1. My other thought was this proves that the issues with James and his cat are genetic, so he can feel better about it!

Maybe both your cat and yourself are reincarnated from the 15th century, and doomed to repeat those moments till you manage to not have it happen?

Ancient manuscripts get no respect. People are more interested in the meanderings of a cat.

Not true. I say it gathers interest because it really brings to life an ancient manuscript, and the scripts writer/keeper. At least that is how it is for me. It shows that not all those texts were done perfectly in some windowless room by some perfect scribe. They ran into problems in their day to day life/work, just like us... in James' case, as it turns out, it's exactly like things he's run into. lol
