Mcclelland for beginner

what does everyone think of them. i know there cheap not great and not aged but as a somewhat beginner figure there worth trying. as far as the ones i have tried i have had glenlivet 12. it was ok nothing special. the one i really liked was glendronach 12.

McClelland is the "single malt" with a style in each of the regions?

if it is what I think it is, I had their Islay bottling. Didn't like it too much, but that's just me.

I haven't had Glendronach, I checked out their website, it looks like they specialize in Sherry aging, very interesting.

If it is the aging in the Sherry casks that you like, you can try Glenmorangie Lasanta (Highland scotch) and Highland Park 12 (Orkney scotch). Highland Park has more peat to it than Glenmorangie does.

I thought their Islay expression was quite possibly the worst of anything I have ever tried but I gave it to somebody who actually liked it. The Highland expression was also pretty bad. I've heard better things about another private bottling called Mcgavins, think they sell it in Maryland.

Really everything you have on your list is better. I would save your money and get those or go for a more upscale blend like JW Black. Some also like Speyburn 10 as a good intro malt but I did not care for it.
