What's new

Maybe just lucky?

I have had a few shaves with a straight razor with varying degrees of succcess. Tonight I tried my first shave with my new artist club ss with a proguard blade. A very comfortable 2 pass (both wtg), no irritation whatever, I will admit..2 tiny nicks. All in all a very presentable shave, even below my nose. Very well pleased with the razor. Maybe not as newbie unfriendly as they are made out to be......or maybe just a lucky one off shave..lol

Cheers

Yep and the SS is a fantastic razor, paired with some good blades & a careful hand you're in for a good shave every time.

Alfredo, Whats Mojo?

If you have to ask, you don't have it-LOL.

It is an on going thing I have going between the folks that hone on natural stones-we have Mojo-feel, a Je ne sais qoui.

Film honers, just sterile, rubbing stone on saran wrap

Je ne parlais pas.... but i understood you, i think, i´m afraid i dont belong to the fraternity of cotis i only have Norton´s and Naniwa´s and a Blue Belgian but even so, i dont use them so much because i´m in love with Feather´s and Kai´s "Straights"

Cheers

Film isnt that Satans hone?

As one who only uses disposable blade straights, I find the Feather SS to be one excellent straight, and really a nice shaver. The head design is different from the other Feather straights, and even though I use all of the Feathers and the Kai's, I find myself returning to the SS often. I do however use either the Feather Pro's or Super Pro blades, or the Kai milds. I for one don't like the Pro Guard blades at all.

Second shave tonight.....great shave. It appears to be for me that the blade will give you the tiniest wee nip as a warning that you are being a wee bit heavy handed.

I am pretty sure I have found a new best friend.....
