Anyone remember Crabtree & Evelyn Sweet Almond Oil shaving soap? Perhaps you still have some? What is a soap that would match that scent? Perhaps one of the Italian almonds? Really would like to identify something similar. And, in a perfect world, a soap that would even lather better! Thanks!

never heard of this from C&E , but for almond -Razorock classic and cacao is awesome smelling and lathering soap- i truly am a lover of the C&E soaps
Actually, C&E Sweet Almond Oil is much more floral than almond smelling. The SAO refers to an ingredient rather than the scent.
The scent to me is a clean and wonderful honeysuckle.
^^^^ That being said, my apologies that I cannot tell you of a modern equivalent that is still in production.

Yes, C&E had a sweet almond oil cream (considered one of the best creams every by some) and soap. Both were discontinued some four or five years ago. The soap shows up occasionly on ebay at high prices; the cream almost never. Have never used the cream myself, but have a bit of the soap left. Marvelous almond oil smell; very slightly on the sweet side but no cherry; a warm, nutty aroma. Best guess I can make at the moment is that maybe Valobra soft soap is close. Will try to find a sample and see.
if this is the case no wonder the OP is looking for it , a floral C&E would be a winner , their other scents are the best and lasting too----- if you find any pucks let me know
Got a few in backstock. Easily my favorite C&E offering. Don't know of a suitable replacement. The Italian soaps do not match up. I would be happy to find one.
<sigh> C&E SAO cream was my ONLY cream for more than 20 years. RIP you big, wonderful thing, you. 
About the only good thing that came from its discontinuance was my eventual discovery of B&B. Was it worth it? No contest--but in the best of all worlds, I'd be posting here about how great that SAO cream is, and what a wonderful shave it just gave me...
