Mason Pearson Silver tip shaving brush

Anyone have any experience with this brand? I've got a chance to buy one brand new for $185, but I'm not familiar with their shaving brush line. I haven't seen any reviews so, any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks, KES

I was looking for reviews on this brush a week or so ago and didn't have much luck. There are a few reviews out there but nothing recent. One was included in the lot I won during the Sue Moore fundraiser but I haven't got around to using it yet. I do like the looks of the handle though.

I do believe that Mason Pearson is considerably more well-known for their hair brushes. At $185 you can find a pretty darn good brush (or 2), with a built-in exit strategy, think b/s/t, from some well-known "shaving" brush companies and custom vendors. good luck

+1 - Find a Simpson, Rooney, Shavemac or Morris and Forndran in a similar style, if it doesn't work out you can part with it without much of a loss, not sure you'll have such luck with the Mason.
